The aim of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH)’s annual Housing 2021 exhibition is to improve the lives of the people housing associations, local authorities, housebuilders, and the government provide homes for and to bring those professionals together. As such, it was the perfect opportunity for the Avonside Group’s various divisions, including Roofing, Plumbing, Renewables, and Energy, to showcase the sustainable solutions for social housing that they can provide.
The award-winning conference ran from 7th-9th September at Manchester Central and is Europe’s largest housing festival. Thousands of visitors, over 350 speakers, and 350 sponsors and exhibitors attended over the three days.
“The exhibition was an ideal opportunity to meet both existing and potential clients from across the Public Sector to discuss our exciting plans to roll out our involvement across our wider branch network.”
Bill Rumble, Managing Director of Avonside Energy, and Richard Thompson, Commercial Director at Avonside Energy discuss the latest developments in the Solar PV market with a potential client.
From houses to high-rise blocks, new-build to retrofit projects, Avonside’s Energy Division embraced the opportunity to showcase their innovative solar PV and hybrid battery storage system that can play a vital role in helping Authorities to achieve their carbon neutral targets in the coming years.
Bill and Richard discuss the day with our Chief Executive Officer, Eddie Stanton, with our Social Housing Estimator, Lee Jones in the background.
As well as sharing that Avonside staff enjoyed catching up with old and existing customers whilst showcasing the latest in renewable energy solutions to many potential new clients, Richard Bostock revealed: “The conference had a great atmosphere with everyone enjoying the opportunity to get out and meet again in person and discuss new business opportunities face-to-face, as well as sitting in on some great seminars held throughout the day.”
