Our Branch Directors, Richard Bostock (Avonside Worksop Residential Roofing & Avonside Bourne Residential Roofing) and Stewart Hill (Avonside Worksop Residential Roofing) along with our Group Sales Estimator, Andy Kershaw had a great day manning a stand at the annual EEM Supply Chain Showcase at the Trent Vineyard Church and Conference Centre in Nottingham last Wednesday (10th October).
Public sector organisations were invited to the beneficial exhibition, which provided the brilliant opportunity to mix with approximately 80 of the contractors, manufacturers and suppliers available to use compliantly through EEM frameworks.
Speaking about the event, Andy said: “The event went really well and was very well organised. We were busy all day and made some excellent contacts as well as re-engaging with old ones, which was great. Our branded Avonside cupcakes also went down a treat too!”
He added: “Congratulations to Charlotte Keegan from Personal Protective Equipment providers, Arden Winch & Co Ltd, who won the bottle of champagne in the business card lucky dip!”
The event also saw legal experts Trowers and Hamlins LLP deliver a free and interesting 45-minute seminar on the hot topic that is the Social Housing Green Paper. The Green Paper contains social housing reforms the government has proposed, promising that they will “re-balance” the relationships between tenants and landlords and contribute to stronger communities. The seminar addresses the issues surrounding the impact the proposals will have on asset management.
EEM (Efficiency East Midlands) Contracts and Frameworks give public sector organisations a compliant way to the market whilst avoiding incurring the high costs of running their own expensive procurement strategies.
EEM Membership is free for public sector organisations and Frameworks include: ‘Property Improvement Works, ‘Re-Roofing Service’, ‘Roofing Repair Service & Asphalt Flooring Works’, ‘Sustainable Refurbishment of Historical Buildings’ and many more. You can read more about EEM Frameworks here.
