Summary:

The client needed to achieve installation of an 80kWp system in order to contribute towards the carbon reduction target as set by the local planning office. Avonside was able to provide this by using 268 x JA Solar 300W panels in order to maximise the output given the tight and awkward space, alongside Sunfixings East West Tegra system, maximising power density. All generating equipment was located in bespoke made cabinet with fully vented sides to allow for the cooling and heat dissipation requirements. The client originally requested a mechanically fixed system which would have been much more costly and would have created a potential weak point in the weathering of the roof. The insurance backed warranty & windload calculations from UK based Sunfixings reassured the client that this was the best solution in this instance.
