We have a vacancy for a full-time, well-organised Assistant Management Accountant with a flair for accuracy, detail, and numerical reporting to work at our Avonside Biggleswade and Avonside Letchworth roofing branches in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end finance for 2 Avonside branches – Avonside Letchworth and Avonside Biggleswade Roofing branches
  • Ensuring the correct authorisation and processing of purchase ledger invoices to allow the correct and accurate reporting of job costing and overhead analysis
  • Monthly preparation and reporting of job costing ensuring that the monthly management accounts are reported correctly
  • Sales ledger management to ensure the timely and accurate production of sales invoices, working with the Branch Managers to resolve any queries/issues
  • Stock and WIP analysis
  • Credit control
  • Preparation of subcontractor payments
  • Monthly preparation of the management accounts packed to tight deadlines, providing analysis and commentary on variances
