The Avonside Group is the UK’s largest building envelope service provider with divisions working across Roofing, Energy and Plumbing.

To support our continued ambitious growth plans we are looking to appoint a Bid Team Administrator for Avonside Roofing Limited based at our Head Office in Heywood.

About the Role

Our Bid Team is a crucial function for Avonside focusing on assessing and responding to requests for information, completing and returning tender documents and ensuring that there is a constant pipeline of new business coming into the Company.

Role and Responsibilities

Your role will be primarily administrative in focus. Day-to-day activities will involve:

  • tracking, logging and reviewing new opportunities and tender documents,
  • updating and maintaining electronic portal supplier registrations,
  • assisting in the completion and submission of prequalification questionnaires and Tenders,
  • supporting the upkeep of the company IT systems, and
  • assisting with ensuring company accreditations are kept in date.

Required Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role we are ideally looking for a candidate with:

  • 6 – 12 months in a sales or commercially focused administration role ideally with some involvement in preparing bids – but your attention to
    detail, approach to work and attitude are far more important – full training can be given,
  • excellent communication skills,
  • strong Word, Excel and CRM experience (ideally Salesforce) and
  • GCSE Maths and English at grades A-C (or equivalent qualifications).
