Avonside Group is the UK’s largest provider of services to the construction industry and due to increased work and ambitious growth plans, we are looking to recruit an experienced and ambitious individual to assist us in the development and growth of our London Flat Roofing business, which covers inside the M25 corridor with the opportunity to be based from our Letchworth offices.

About the Role

This is an exciting time to join the group; with a strong return from the challenges of COVID, busy order books and ambitious plans ahead of us, you will have the opportunity to join the London business and shape it around you.

We are looking to add an individual to the team who wants to join us as either a Branch Manager or Senior Contracts Manager, or perhaps a hybrid of the two.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Your background will be in flat roofing including Built-up Felt, Single Ply, Cold applied Liquid, Hot Melt and other associated works.
  • You will have a wealth of experience in managing contracts across either new-build housing or social refurbishment including the management and organisation of materials, plant and labour for your sites.
  • You will also have a demonstrable track record of providing exceptional customer service to existing clients and to supporting and working with new clients to ensure that their experience is positive and long-term relationships are fostered.

In addition to the above, we are looking for someone with the commercial knowledge and capabilities to be the figure head of the Branch; either right now or as you grow and develop within the role – for this you will need:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • An understanding of budget processes and controls
  • Exceptional management and leadership to enable you to drive the branch performance and profitability and a strong focus on monitoring and managing health and safety.
