The Opportunity

Taylor Roofing is part of the Avonside Group – the UK’s largest service provider primarily to the new build housing sector. Alongside our Roofing division, we have our Energy, Renewables, and Plumbing Divisions, employing over 400 people across almost 40 different sites across the UK.

We are currently implementing a new Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) called NetSuite to allow us to more efficiently and effectively manage our finance, procurement, and operations functions. This brings with it some changes to the way in which we will operate in our branches and our head office functions.

We are therefore looking for an individual to join us in our Taylor Roofing office in Nottingham to add additional support to our existing teams as we introduce and embed the new system and ways of working. You will report directly to our Branch Director and support them with the operational data entry and administration tasks around the new NetSuite system. You will be central to the maintenance of properly functioning business units and will work alongside our Contracts Managers, Branch Managers and regional finance teams.

The Role

  • Administering branch data
  • Supporting subcontractor compliance
  • Handling pay information relating to subcontractors
  • Maintaining and updating accurate records
  • Creating and maintaining templates within the system
  • Producing bulk and single purchase orders using buying templates
  • Supporting in the creation of master data
  • Completing the goods receipting process
  • Working closely with contracts management to maintain accurate scheduling or materials
  • Allocating material and transferring stock
  • Working closely with contracts management to efficiently manage yard and site stock data
  • Working closely with accounts and finance to ensure accurate operational data entry

What You Bring

  • Ideally one years’ experience of administration within a construction/merchant environmen
  • High attention to detail in relation to data entry and administrative tasks
  • Excellent IT skills, including Word and Excel, any previous experience working within an ERP system or finance management software would be a big advantage
  • Ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
