The Opportunity

At the Avonside Group, we have an exciting opportunity based in our Southampton office for a Contracts Manager to join us.

Avonside are the UK’s largest service provider to the housebuilding sector. With over 35 branches across the UK providing roofing, plumbing, energy and renewable energy solutions to the New Build and social housing sectors we are ideally placed to provide a national service with the care, attention to detail and high service levels that our customers have come to expect.

We are looking to add a talented, customer-service-focused Contracts Manager to our team.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Managing a number of new build contracts across a geographical region
  • Providing outstanding customer service and support to clients
  • Management and organisation of the procurement of materials, plant and labour in line with the scheduled project plan
  • Providing accurate information to enable subcontractor payments to be made
  • Monitoring, controlling, analysing and reporting on project costs
  • Quality Control
  • Ensuring a safety-first onsite culture

What You Bring

  • Ideally two years’ experience in contract management within the roofing sector, although experience site managers looking to make the next step will also be considered
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Previous experience overseeing Health and Safety
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
  • Full driving licence
