The Opportunity

Our Heywood office is the Head Office for the Avonside Group – the UK’s largest service provider primarily to the new-build housing sector. Operating across four divisions (roofing, energy, renewables and plumbing) with over 400 people across almost 40 different sites across the UK.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator to join us as an HR Assistant, providing support to all colleagues across the business to ensure a prompt, efficient and accurate response is provided on all people-related matters.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Head of HR in all HR related activities
  • Responsible for all administrative tasks in relation to the full employee lifecycle
  • Processing starters and leavers
  • Updating personnel records
  • Ensuring accurate record keeping
  • Preparing management information
  • Providing note taking support
  • Initial point of contact into the HR department
  • Supporting in recruitment activities
  • Custodian of HR processes and HR operations activities
  • Ad hoc project work

What You Bring

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a fast-paced HR department
  • Ideally qualified to CIPD level 3 (not essential)
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills, including Word and Excel
  • Focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
