The Opportunity

Avonside Energy Limited is part of the Avonside Group – the UK’s largest service provider primarily to the new build housing sector. Alongside our Energy and Renewables divisions, we have Roofing and Plumbing divisions, employing over 400 people across almost 40 different sites across the UK.

We are in a really exciting stage of our growth and development with a strong pipeline of work, ambitious growth plans, and the rollout of a new Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) called NetSuite across the rest of the group to allow us to more efficiently and effectively manage our finance, procurement, and operations functions.

To support us in driving our Energy business forward, we are looking for an experienced planner to join our established branch in Rearsby. You will be joining a fantastic team, providing day-to-day central planning support, as well as supporting the organisation of labour and dealing with customer care issues.

Role and Responsibilities

Working as part of the National Planning Team, you will be responsible for the efficient planning of new-build, Insulation, and Solar Panel installs with careful consideration of operational efficiencies. You will also:

  • Liaise with Branch Managers to agree and set planned runs and identify any potential labour capacity restrictions
  • Identify any labour restrictions or extended lead times and escalate them to the National Planning Manager
  • Work closely with the Commercial and Estimating team to raise Production queries and ensure these are resolved within agreed timescales
  • Respond to all internal communications from our clients via email or telephone within agreed business timescales
  • Work closely alongside the Planning team members to assess labour capacity and redeploy as agreed by National Planning Manager
  • Carry out outbound call activity to confirm planned installs and plan future appointments
  • Liaise with sub-contractors where necessary
  • Raise and issue Customer Care cases and monitor until completion within clients agreed SLA

What You Bring

  • Ideally one years’ experience of administration within a related environment
  • Planning, Contact centre, or Customer service experience
  • Excellent IT skills, including Word and Excel
  • GCSE (or equivalent) maths and English
  • Ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
